Active - Passive Introduction and Importance of Passive Voice
What is Active Voice ?
- If a sentence begins with a Subject and a Verb follows according to the Subject, it is called Active Voice.
 - Here the doer does something and performs an action or doer is agent and thus doer plays an active role so it is called Active
 
What is Passive Voice?
- If a sentence begins with an Object and a Verb follows according to the Object but here the Object isn't an agent, it is called Passive Voice.
 - Here the doer doesn't do anything but an action is done upon the Object.
 
Importance and Use of Passive Voice.
- If an action which is performed is important, Passive Construction is used.
 - If 'doer or subject' isn't at center but an object, Passive Voice is used.
 - If 'doer or subject' is unknown, it is better to use Passive Voice.
 - When we want to emphasize on the Action or on Object, Passive Voice is a must.
 
- English is spoken all over the world.
 - News papers read daily.
 - In this website, only English Learning related material is uploaded.
 - Two new invention have been made.
 - You will be informed day after tomorrow.
 - Are street swept daily in your area?
 - Stars can't be counted.
 - National flags/anthem must be honoured.
